Match Preview: Dominant India to face dangerous Australia in semis

Match facts
Thursday, March 26, 2015
Start time 9:00 am IST (1430 local) (0330 GMT)

Big picture
India has struggled against the home side in Australian summer and they are yet to win a match against Aussies on this four-month long tour. India was outplayed by Australia in the World Cup warm-up game as well. Are aussies going to continue their winning streak against the defending champions or Dhoni & Co. will have the last laugh? Even though, India couldn't win a match against the hosts but they have set wold cup on fire as Team India will be looking forward to win its eight game in the row. If Aussies have home advantage then India is also not too far away as they are expected to get as much support as Australia would get at Sydney Cricket Ground(SCG). In fact, if reports are to be believed then 70% Indians at SCG are going to be outnumbered the Australian fans. Australia's record is fabulous in semis but Dhoni has also never lost a semifinal while leading Men in Blue.

Despite winning their quarterfinal convincingly against Pakistan, Wahab Riyaz's tremendous spell has exposed some chinks in Australia's armor. If India won't loss much wickets in first 20 overs then Aussies are going to find ample task in their hand to contain India with just three regular bowlers. Though, depth and firepower in their batting line-up can derail the Indian bowling which has been outstanding so far. Indian pacers have enjoyed bowling short in this World Cup and they will not hesitate in testing Australian batsmen with bombarding of short pitched deliveries. On the other hand, unbeatable India has ticked almost all the boxed correctly but they will have to be very careful against this dangerous Austalian side which has 8-9 match-winners who can change the scenario of game single handedley. Virat's form may be a matter of concern for Dhoni but his ability to play big innings in big match is not hidden from anyone as Indian camp will again be hoping another special innings from Kohli to take India through to the final.

In the spotlight
Ravindra Jadeja - He didn't get much opportunity though with the bat but his ability to play useful innings at number seven is still under the scanner. However, little cameo of around 20 runs in the quarterfinal must be providing some relief to the Indian camp. Jadeja was hammered all around the park on the small grounds of New Zealand but he can be a handy customer with his left arm spin at Sydney considering the presence of too many right handers in the Australian batting line-up. If India want to retain the title then this Saurashtra all-rounder will have to contribute to the team cause with both bat and ball.

Aaron Finch - After smashing an explosive century in the first league match against England, Finch is having quite an ordinary World Cup. He will have huge responsibility to deny in-form Indian pacers an early strike as hosts are waiting another memorable innings from devastating Finch.

Team News
India will not change the winning combination in such a big encounter which can very well turn out to be a match of the tournament as well.
India (probable) 1 Shikhar Dhawan, 2 Rohit Sharma, 3 Virat Kohli, 4 Ajinkya Rahane, 5 Suresh Raina, 6 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 R Ashwin, 9 Mohit Sharma, 10 Mohammed Shami, 11 Umesh Yadav

Maxwell did a fine job against Pakistan with his off-spin and it is highly unlikely that they will include Xavier Doherty against India. They too are expected to go with an unchanged team.
Australia(probable) 1 David Warner, 2 Aaron Finch, 3 Steven Smith, 4 Michael Clarke, 5 Shane Watson, 6 Glenn Maxwell, 7 James Faulkner, 8 Brad Haddin, 9 Mitchell Johnson, 10 Mitchell Starc, 11 Josh Hazlewood.

Pitch and conditions: First look of the track that will stage the semifinal clash between India and Australia

Surprisingly, it was the spin duo of Proteas which destroyed Sri lankan batting line-up in the quarterfinal at Sydney. SCG pitch normally assist spinners but with no quality spinners in Australian side, some grass is expected for the second semifinal. With nice and bright sunshine on 26th March, it will be a lovely weather at SCG for the semifinal clash.

Quotes
"I don't think poor shot selection is the case. Kohli is a dominant batsman, he loves playing his strokes. I don't think he has batted badly at all. He is concentrating on process. And he is a big occasion player and would fire on a big day."
Indian captain MS Dhoni

"I think we targetted India pretty well this summer. They haven't won a game against us all through the summer. Hopefully that is pretty clear in their memories."
Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell

Brilliant Bookie: And the winner's trophy goes to...

Rules
1. We will provide you Betting Slip having five questions for India-Australia semifinal.

2. Every participant will have 2000$ to put his/her bets on the match.

3. Every option in question will have its own odds based on the probable outcome. Suppose if probability of India's win is more then odds of India's victory are going to be 2.00$ and odds of 1.2$ on Australia win.
What is odds?

Suppose you put 1000$ on India's win and Dhoni's Brigade comes victorious then your score for this right prediction will be 1000$ + 1000$*2$ = 3000$. But if your prediction proves to be wrong then 1000$ will be deducted from your account.

Dhoni's 100th victory seals semis bearth for India

India have reached the semi final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 by thrashing Bangladesh by 109 runs. Indian fans had their heart in their mouth when Ajinkya Rahane was caught at mid-off as India was scoring at the run rate of 4 but centurion Rohit Sharma's partnership with flamboyant Suresh Raina took India past to the magical figure of 300 with the help of Ravindra Jadeja's cameo in the last few overs.

India will now take on either Australia or the arch rivals Pakistan in the semi final on 26th March at Sydney. India's massive victory over Bangla tigers is their 100th win under MS Dhoni's captaincy. Rohit Sharma, who was adjudged Man of the Match, has also joined the league of legendary Sir Viv Richards.

83.8 Rohit's batting average at the MCG, the highest for any batsman who has scored at least 300 runs at this venue. Aaron Finch with a batting average of 65.2 is next on the list with 391 runs.

Expert faculty panel for CA-CPT

Students interested to pursue Chartered Accountancy(CA) course after passing 12th class should join IPC for crossing the first barrier of CA course i.e Common Proficiency Test(CPT) as we have the best faculties of Western UP to take our students through to the next level.

Fresh batches of CPT is starting from 8th April, 2015 at IPC Budhana Gate. Get yourself registered without any delay. IPC is the only institute of Western UP which conduct mock test series based on latest pattern of CPT examination. IPC is alone institute having its own publication.

Few books of our publication:

IPC is the only CA coaching institute which provides back up facility of face to face classes also so that students can again revise the concepts. Even if students miss the live lecture due to unavoidable circumstances, they can catch up with the course by taking recorded class at our studio hall exclusively designed for back up classes.

If strong batting technique, solid defense and controlled aggression plays an important role in cricket for all the batsmen to contribute to their team cause then degree of Chartered Accountancy also plays a similar role in making faculties superior over the other ordinary faculties.

In cricket, there are ordinary batsmen, good batsmen and great batsmen.  Likewise, all type of faculties are available in CA- CPT also but students can take live classes from great faculties in IPC only. These are not just our words but students can themselves take a feedback from their seniors who were/are the students of our institute.

Even though, syllabus of CPT is quite similar to 12th class course but level of CA entrance exam is much higher than 12th board exams. However, renowned faculties of IPC makes CA-CPT much easier with the help of their excellent teaching skills. IPC is the only institute of Western UP whose all faculties of CA-CPT are Chartered Accountants.

Know about CA faculties of IPC

CA Sumit Chandna

Sumit Chandna is a graduate in commerce and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He became Chartered Accountant in 2006 after clearing both  groups of final in his very first attempt as he topped the Meerut centre by securing 460 marks.

Sumit's academic achievements are not limited to topping the CA final examinations only. In fact, he got the 0.1% merit certificate(scholarship) in Economics from CBSE in 12th class. As name suggests, only 0.1% of total students get success in winning this reputed scholarship in Economics.

Even though, Economics was his passion during his school life but now teaching Audit to CA IPCC and CA Final students is Sumit's profession. He is the only face to face faculty in Meerut who takes face to face classes of Auditing at both CA IPCC and CA Final level.

Strong concepts and student friendly notes of Sumit have generated the great interest amongst the students even in the theoretical subject like Auditing which students find somehow boring.

Saurabh Vig

Saurabh Vig is a post graduate in Master of Computer Applications(MCA) and a renowned faculty of CA IPCC Information Technology(IT) & CA Final Information Systems Control and Audit(ISCA).

Known for his excellent communication skills, he has great knowledge and command over the concepts of IT and ISCA.

With a teaching experience of ten years, he is arguably the best IT and ISCA faculty available in Meerut. In other words, it would be appropriate to say that if IT and ISCA is your problem then Saurabh sir is solution.

Before launching himself in the field of teaching, Saurabh has also worked as a Software Engineer in a highly prestigious compaany.

Abhishek Bhardwaj

Abhishek Bhardwaj is a first class commerce post graduate. He has also done MBA in finance. Apart from PG and MBA, he holds the degree of LLB as well.

His area of specialisation are Taxation and Law. He has experience of around eleven years of teaching these subjects to the students of CA-IPCC, CA-Final and CS.

He has great command over the concepts of Direct Taxation and Indirect Taxation. Along with regular batches, he also takes amendment batches twice in a year for the welfare of students.

Almost all the CA coaching institutes of Meerut have taken the services of Abhishek Bhardwaj, who is also known as Tax Guru. Currently, he is associated with IPC to enlighten students by sharing his immense knowledge.
